What is kratom?

Origins of Kratom

Kratom (pronounced “KRAH-tum”) is a tea made from the leaves of the Mitragyna speciosa tree, a tropical plant in the coffee family that grows throughout Southeast Asia. For centuries, people in countries like Thailand and Indonesia have used Kratom for its diverse range of benefits, often incorporating it into their daily routines or traditional medicine.

Today, more than 2 million people worldwide use Kratom as a popular alternative to alcohol to manage stress, improve focus, and relieve pain.

Choosing the Right Kratom Strain

One of the reasons Kratom is so versatile is its different strains. White strains typically provide a nice energy boost and help with focus, while green strains offer a balance between energy and relaxation. Red strains are ideal for winding down and relieving physical discomfort.

Kratom’s effects come from its alkaloids, primarily mitragynine, mitraphylline and 7-hydroxymitragynine (natural concentrations of 7-OH are within the FDA guidelines. We do not serve any 7-OH extracts). These active compounds interact with the body’s opioid receptors to help alleviate pain, reduce stress, and enhance your mood.
